    The Wang's

The Wang's home, located in south Surrey, British Columbia, is not only a log home, but is designed under the far-eastern principals embodied in Feng Shui. To our knowledge, this is the first Feng Shui'd log home ever built ... certainly the first built by Kodiak Log Homes.

Here is a picture of the site for the Wang's new Kodiak log home. The Wang's untouched acre lot in South Surrey, BC.
The first round of logs is up in the contsruction of the Wang's log home Construction of the Wang's home begins in the Kodiak Log Homes log yard in 100 Mile House, BC
The excavation of the site for the Wangs log home begins. Excavator on it's way to the first dig location. Back at the building site, the excavation begins on November 19th at 1:28 PM
At the 8 foot level, the walls of the guest cabin are almost complete. The window openings are cut at this point and the headers are on. 4 Rounds up on the main house and 8 rounds up on the utility building. At the 8 foot level, the walls of the utility building are almost complete. The window openings are cut at this point and the headers are on.
The footings are being set for the Wang's log home The excavation is now completed, and the footings are put in place.
The utility building is now completed The Wang's log shells are virtually complete in pur log home construction yard, with only the electrical pockets and custom handrails remaining to be completed.
The footings are in place for the Wang's log home Meanwhile, back at the site, the footings are now in place and the forms for the foundation walls are on the way.
Inspecting the log shell in the log yard in 100 Mile House Following the completion of the log shells at our log yard, Mr. Wang and Mr. Beugelink (rep of the general contractor), visually inspect the shell prior to delivery.
The foundation has been poured, and the forms are being removed. The forms for the foundation are set-up, the foundation poured, forms remodev, and the foundation is sealed.
Framing of the basement walls, main floor joists, and main floor subfloor is underway. The framing of the basement walls, main floor joists, and subfloor begins.
The 70 ton crane arrives at 7:30 AM to get into position. Setup day finally arrives!!!!
The framing of the first floor walls is underway. Following the setup of the log shell, the framing crew set to work on the basement and main floor interior walls.
The framing of the first floor walls is underway. Framing of the second floor follows closely on the heals of the first floor framing.
The plumbing is underway. The plumbing is started on the main floor and basement areas while the framing of the second floor is underway.
The electrical is underway. The electrical is also started at this time, with the main panel being serviced first.
The trusses are set and the roofing materials are put in place. Setting the trusses and puting on the roofing materials is the next step in the completion of the Wang's log home.

... Please stay tuned, more progress photos coming soon ...
